No Photos, No Sewing Machine and ...

... no posts for a week. I am a slack blogger. No posts 'cos I have been busy this week and didn't have time. No photos for the same reason! And no sewing machine because it is sick and has to go the the machine doctor in Auckland! I turned on my elna last night and it went crazy trying to push the needle as far left as it could go and then came up with a message on the screen "Error #1". Look in the manual. There is no reference to Error #1 in the manual. Frances offers to take said machine to our lovely machine mechanic who just happens to live across the road from her and is a good friend. Rang him up tonight to find it is probably an electronic circuitry problem and will have to be sent to away to be fixed. I have asked him top find out about how much it will cost to get fixed before he sends it away because, of course, it is out of it's warranty period. Aaarrggh!

Oh, No! Do you want to borrow my little Lotus? it does zigzag but not much else fancy and the feed dogs don't lower for free motion. Or just bring your sewing out to my place and try out the Juki...? Its fantastic for free motion! You're welcome any time. Some good people have sorted my sewing room recently so its all clean and tidy now, you'll love working out there.

How terrible, a quilter without a sewing machine. I don´t envy you. But I bet that when you get your machine back it will better than ever. Maybe it is the time now to start a hand-sewing project. Still, I cross my fingers for you. Take care.

Poor you! What are you going to do?
Take your friend up on her offer of using her sewing room! I hope you get your machine back soon!

It is my worst nightmare...being without a machine. So I got myself an excellent old Swiss made Elna at a garage sale for $5, to back up my beloved Janome.
Good luck with yours, they can be expensive to repair.

I am so deeply sorry to hear of this calamity; that's awful. Do you have any hand work to occupy you intil your baby returns? I hope...
